I want to become President of the United States. I feel I could do a much better job than the people who have been in office. There are many issues at hand to tackle in 4 years of office, and there is probably no way to to do this during one term. I feel I could, however, put a serious dent in the issues at hand.
Here are some of the international issues that should be addressed:
Not that the United Nations doesn't do some good, but I feel they need to relocate to another country. If the U.N. moves to another country, we may get rid of some of the extra crime due to the diplomatic immunity status they are given.
Another is that NAFTA should be dissolved. America needs to stop exporting all our meats and oil to other countries, and keep it here at home. If we have extra, then no problem, by all means export some of it. We also need to uncap our oil wells, stop pumping oil from Alaska into tankers to be transported to other countries, and keep it here. We also need to find alternative fuel sources, and explore them more fully than we are now.
Issues close to home that need to be addressed are:
There is a real problem with drug companies. If you have ever been sick, you know how much prescriptions cost, and then if you don't have insurance, you're going to pay an arm and a leg just to get well. I personally paid $157 for a 7 pill prescription. There is no good reason for it. You don't even want to talk about medications for a senior citizen. That monthly bill can easily exceed $800 a month or more. Do you remember a popular drug to treat E. D.? After 6 months of being on the market, it has paid for all the research, development, and marketing that this particular company had invested in it! Now any money made is mostly profit. It doesn't cost very much to manufacture, but yet, we unquestioningly pay whatever they are asking. I intend to try limiting the amount the drug companies can charge for prescriptions. This is going to be a tough argument with our lawmakers.
Another concern is our child welfare system. We need to do some revamping in this area as well. I think we need to revise child abuse laws. Nowadays, parents are afraid to correct their children. They are afraid the child will call social services and cry abuse, even if there has been no abuse. This causes the arrest of many parents for abuse, their names and reputations ruined. Later when it is found that the parents were wrongly accused, the damage has been done and is irreversable. This part of the law needs to be fixed!!
Another thing that has come to my attention are issues with Child Support that need to be fixed. Before a spouse gets in trouble for not paying child support, they can be way behind in payments before anything is done. This is unfair to the child, and the parent raising the child. I have talked to people who constantly tell me that they have been victims of this. When asked how the delinquent parent keeps from getting in trouble, I was told if they make a payment, and are under the designated amount behind, nothing is done. No! No! No!! This is unacceptable!
Everything I have stated above can be verified on the internet, in quarterly stock reports of drug companies, or by any parent whose spouse pays child support.
There are other issues I would like to address, so look for more as the weeks go by. Someone asked me how to make a campaign contribution for my campaign, but didn't know where to send it. Contributions aren't necessary, if you would like to make a contribution, here is the address where contributions can be mailed:
